Upcoming Virtual Volunteer Training

CASA Volunteer Training Schedules for 2025

We’re excited to share our CASA volunteer training schedule for 2025! Designed to provide the required 30 hours of instruction, our sessions are interactive and meaningful, equipping participants to make a lasting impact in the lives of children in foster care.

Training Schedule Overview:

  • Winter Session: February 18th – March 4th
  • Summer Session: June 3rd – June 17th
  • Fall Session: September 23rd – October 7th

Each session includes evening classes held virtually on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Orientation for each session will be held on the first day of training in person, providing an opportunity to meet and engage directly and sign all pre-training forms.

We look forward to welcoming a new group of dedicated volunteers in 2025!

Training Schedule: Participants must attend all sessions to complete the required 30 hours of class instruction.

Virtual Format:
All sessions excluding the orientation will be held virtually, making it easy for you to attend from anywhere within Douglas county, GA and surrounding areas!

You must be at least 21 years old to become a CASA volunteer.  

Children’s Voice: CASA, Inc. reserves the right to make any checks deemed appropriate as to the suitability of anyone responsible for this confidential work. Your Social Security Number will be requested at the time of your interview. All information obtained will be held in the strictest confidence.

The program rejects any applicant found to have been convicted of or having charges pending for a felony or misdemeanor involving a sex offense, child abuse or neglect or related acts that would pose risks to children or the CASA program’s credibility.

This CASA program is hereby authorized to investigate and verify all statements made in this application and to conduct any further investigation it deems necessary to determine my suitability as a CASA volunteer.
I understand that application does not assure acceptance in the program. I will be responsible for assuring that my references return the reference form to the CASA program. I have carefully considered the volunteer position description and training schedule and, if accepted, will offer my services as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
